A Little Bit About Us and Where We Came From:
Print & Cheques Now Inc (formerly Cheques Now/Cheques Direct Ltd.) is a family-owned and -operated business with over 30 years of cheque manufacturing experience. The owners, Tom & Irene Gilchrist, first started producing cheques back when One-Write cheques were common. They and their five sons would spend hours upon hours gluing them together for their small business clients.
Their business grew over the next 28 years, from working out of their home office with just the two of them to having over 20 employees and over 16,000 sq ft of space. They expanded their company and grew with their clients as they began offering a broader range of print services, including stationery items (letterhead, envelopes) and multi-part printed forms (invoices, POs, work orders, etc.).
Tom and Irene sold their original print shop on November 1st, 2006. Since that time, they have been focused solely on cheque manufacturing and were joined by two of their five sons, Ryan & Jon Gilchrist, who are now taking an active role in the day-to-day operations of the company.
As a small family-run business, we pride ourselves on customer service and strive hard to earn our clients’ repeat business. We are once again branching out from just manufacturing cheques to a broader range of print services that meet our clients’ ever-changing needs. Whether you need business cards, stationery items, or multi-part forms for your company, we offer you better service with lower prices wherever possible.
We moved our shop in June of 2010 from just under 1,800 sq ft to nearly 6,000 sq ft and are in the midst of installing several web presses, collators, and other much-needed print machinery.
We thank you for your business and for your support, and we look forward to doing business with you for many years to come.
Sincerely,
Tom, Irene, Jon & Ryan Gilchrist
At Print & Cheques Now (formerly Cheques Now/Cheques Direct Ltd.), we realize you have many options when choosing a cheque supplier.
Whether you’re using manual cheques or laser cheques, we offer a wide array of cheque colors for you to choose from, and our cheque stock offers the highest level of security features available anywhere in Canada. We have higher security than the National Bank Cheque Supplier and all other printers.
We post testimonials from some of our clients, which range from small businesses ordering only 200 manual cheques at a time to large Oil & Gas companies who order thousands of laser cheques quarterly. We supply towns, a university, and hundreds of other businesses from Victoria to St. Johns.
In addition to offering the highest-security manual cheques and laser cheques in Canada, we also pride ourselves on our strong price-match guarantee. We will match your current cheque supplier’s price and then ship you 50% more manual cheques or 25% more laser cheques every time you order cheques from us.
Plus, you can earn AIR MILES® reward miles on every order.
We realize that it’s pretty darn important to you that the cheques you buy clear the bank. That’s why we invested over $40,000 in the necessary software and equipment to become one of only 20 printers in all of Canada that are self-accredited through the Canadian Payments Association’s Cheque Printer Self Accreditation Program. This allows us to manufacture business cheques without our clients needing to submit samples to their banks for testing.
Making the ordering process easier for you as a client or potential customer is also important to us, which is why we have created editable PDF order forms for both manual cheques and computer cheques. You can fill in the form on your computer and email or print and fax your cheque orders right to us. We’ve also added our online ordering and cheque proofing, so you can now order online and view the proof before we print.
We guarantee our laser cheques to be 100% compatible with all software programs, including Simply Accounting, QuickBooks, Peachtree, ACCPAC, MYOB, etc. Whether you’re printing top, middle, or bottom cheques, we can help. We will work with you and your software supplier if you’re not meeting the CPA guidelines.
Buying cheques isn’t a major decision for most businesses; it’s not a major expense. But your decision to use us is important to our growth. If you ever have any suggestions that might improve how we do business, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
